Chemical Peel
刷酸

A chemical peel is a widely performed clinical treatment used to deeply exfoliate the skin and accelerate cellular turnover. During the procedure, a specialized chemical solution is applied to the skin, causing the damaged, dead outer layers to gently peel away.

This process triggers the skin's natural healing response, revealing a smoother, clearer, and more evenly toned complexion underneath. It is highly effective for addressing concerns such as acne, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and uneven skin texture.

How does it work?

First, the face is prepared and cleansed. The chemical peel is then applied to the skin. Your skin will likely feel warm and a stinging sensation may be present in addition to your skin turning pink. This peel will usually be left on the skin for anywhere between 2-3 minutes.

What is a Chemical Peel?

Chemical peels remove outer skin layers via keratolysis—the natural or chemically induced shedding of dead skin cells. Using agents like glycolic and salicylic acids, the treatment penetrates the skin to break up cells, causing the outer layer to peel and prompting the skin to renew itself for a clearer, more even complexion.

Treatment Frequency: Peels can be administered every 1 to 2 weeks until you reach your goals. While a two-week interval is typically recommended, patients with severe acne can undergo the treatment every 7 to 10 days.

Who will the chemical peel benefit?

Pimples and acne

  • The acids in the chemical peel dries up existing inflammatory acne and at the same time kills P.acne bacteria that causes acne.

Clogged pores and blackheads

  • A chemical peel dislodges clogged pores and blackheads to prevent inflammation and acne.

Oily skin

  • Patients with oily skin who wishes for oil control can benefit from a chemical peel as it helps regulate oil production while drying up excess sebum.
